As part of a Space in Our Lives themed event in LIT organised by ESERO (European Space Education Resource Office) we went to assist Sean at a science magic show yesterday and it was a good experience. About 200 students came from several different primary schools to watch the show. They saw many different science experiments and seemed to enjoy watching them. Some children participated in the show as volunteers which they were really excited about.
We assisted Sean with some of the experiments as well as took photos of what was happening. We took many photos, some of the experiments themselves and others of childrens reactions. The show lasted for about a half an hour and the children seemed very happy and filled with excitement after watching it.Following the show, the children were lead to LIT’s Millenium Theatre where they, along with audiences from Romania and Portugal, got the chance to ask astronaut Thomas Pesquest questions via a live satellite link to the ISS (International Space Station). A short video clip of the conversation can be found on the Science Hub Facebook page by clicking on the link below!
