The Students were in for a treat when Sean showed them some very exciting experiments. From learning how to use microscopes to producing oxygen in the “genie in a bottle” experiment. In the first video you can see the kids getting to grips with the microscopes. Sean had prepared various slides for viewing under the microscopes. Cheek cells, which he extracted using a cotton swab and smeared on to a slide before placing a glass protector over it, were among the slides prepared. Viewed under 400x magnification the students were stunned to learn that we all are made up of tiny cells. Check out the other videos to see the other stimulating experiments carried out at the Science Hub! A great learning experience for these students. Great fun was had by all!
